Who we are
Christian Assembly of Schuyler, is located in beautiful Frankfort, New York and has a proud Pentecostal heritage and tradition. We have been part of the Frankfort/Schuyler community for almost 100 years and have a heart for the Mohawk Valley.
Christian Assembly of Schuyler is part of the Assembly of God Fellowship. At Christian Assembly, you will find a mix of worship styles from traditional to contemporary with passionate and insightful preaching. We continue in faith with what our goal has always been- to be a light for Christ, to love God and love people. We are real people serving a real God. Come on out and join us.
What we believe
We believe God is real, Jesus is alive, and the Holy Spirit is still changing lives today. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and shows us who He is and how to live. We believe Jesus’ death and resurrection bring us forgiveness, new life, and hope for the future, and that one day He will return. We believe the Holy Spirit gives us power and spiritual gifts so we can serve others, and that the fruit of the Spirit shapes the way we live. Most of all, we believe our faith should be lived out by loving people and pointing them to the hope we have in Him.
Pastors
Pastor Adam & Amanda Coombs
Pastor Adam accepted the call to be our shepherd on August 7, 2022, after having served as lead pastor in Ferrum, VA for over 7 years. Adam and his wife Amanda both grew up in CNY, so settling into the Mohawk Valley feels like a homecoming of sorts. Together they share an adult son (Seth), adult daughter (Mackenzie and husband Chris), a teenage son (Levi), and Levi’s chocolate Lab (Bailey).
Adam received his ministry training through the Assemblies of God New York District School of Ministry and the Assemblies of God Appalachian District School of Ministry. He was licensed with the Assemblies of God New York District Council in February 2015 and ordained with the Assemblies of God Appalachian District Council on May 17, 2017.
When not engaged in ministry you will find Adam spending time with family, hunting and fishing, or raising plants and animals on a small hobby farm. Amanda stays busy working, homemaking, decorating, baking delightful treats, and homeschooling Levi.
They also enjoy exploring all the adventure that upstate NY has to offer
Youth Pastors
Anthony & Leta Resolve
Anthony and Leta Resolve serve as youth pastor and youth leader.
Leta received an undergraduate degree in youth ministry degree from Eastern University in 2014 and completed her master’s through the Center for Youth Ministry Training via Memphis Theological Seminary in 2017. She has served in both traditional youth group contexts as well as held leadership positions in camping ministries. It was at a Christian summer camp in western New York that she met Anthony. They married in September 2020 and began serving in the youth ministry at CAS just one month later. Since then, their family has grown to include two young daughters, Eleanora and Anastasia.
Leta is grateful to be reaching the next generation for Christ in the area she grew up in. Anthony partners in ministry leadership and also works as a delivery driver for Hummel’s Office Plus in the Syracuse area. Together, they enjoy spending time with their family, who collectively enjoy music and the arts, and outdoor adventures – especially in the water.
